Candidates resume campaigning today, April 20

(Eagle News)—Candidates vying for several posts in the May elections are slated to resume their campaign today, April 20, following a two-day hiatus.

The bets only have roughly three weeks on the campaign trail, as the last day of the campaign is May 11, two days before the May 13 elections.

The campaign period for senatorial candidates and party-list groups started on Feb. 12.

The campaign period for local bets – for governors down to municipal councilors and for district representatives – on the other hand, started on March 29.

President Rodrigo Duterte has been actively campaigning for his candidates.

His daughter Sara is also active on the campaign trail, pushing for Hugpong ng Pagbabago bets.

Otso Diretso candidates, on the other hand, are led by Vice President Leni Robredo, the highest-ranking government official in the Liberal Party.
