Comelec to proclaim 12 winners in senatorial race within two weeks after election day

(Eagle News) — The Commission on Elections is expected to proclaim the 12 winners in the upcoming senatorial race roughly within two weeks after the elections.

According to James Jimenez, Comelec spokesperson, the proclamation of the winners in the local elections, on the other hand, can be done in 24 to 72 hours at the latest.

At least 148 candidates are vying for a seat in the Senate.

Over 18,000 national and local posts are up for grabs in the  elections slated on May 13.
