Comelec reiterates ban on names, images of candidates on LGU ambulances

(Eagle News) — Local government unit ambulances should not carry the names or images of candidates in the upcoming elections, the Commission on Elections said on Wednesday, March 27.

Comelec commissioner Rowena Guanzon issued the reminder days before the official start of the campaign period for local candidates.

“All candidates need not be given notices. They are violating election [rules] starting March 29,” Guanzon said in a tweet.

Guanzon urged Comelec personnel to take pictures of violations so they could be reported.

The elections are slated in May.
