QUEZON City, Philippines – The Commission on Elections Campaign Finance Office Head Commissioner Christian Robert Lim plans to file his resignation on Monday, June 20 due to the decision of the COMELEC en banc to extend the deadline of the filing of the Statement of Contribution and Expenditures until June 30 which in turn is due to the request of the Liberal Party and its standard-bearer Manuel “Mar” Roxas to extend the deadline for the filing of the SOCE.
Lim did not fully explain his reason for resignation although he stated that he does not agree with the policy shift of the COMELEC. Lim is one of the Commissioners who voted against the extension of the deadline.
