(Eagle News)–The Commission on Elections has approved former National Youth Commission chair Ronald Cardema’s bid to substitute as the Duterte Youth party-list group’s first nominee and representative in the 18th Congress.
Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon said this did not mean that the 33-year-old Cardema could already take the post as there are still pending petitions against the same.
In its three-page resolution, the poll body also gave due course to the nominations of Gian Carlo Galang, Catherine Santos, Kerwin Pagaran and Sharah Shane Makabali.
The poll body, however, denied due course to the nomination of Allan Kevin Payawal as sixth nominee because there are only five nominees under the law.
The Comelec also directed the Duterte Youth Partylist to publish its revised list of nominees in two newspapers of general circulation at its own expense and submit proof of publication of the same.Moira Encina
