Cloudy skies with scattered rains to prevail over Visayas due to ITCZ

(Eagle News)– Visayas will be cloudy and have scattered rains and thunderstorms  today, June 3, due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone.

In its its advisory, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Palawan and Occidental Mindoro, on the other hand,will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds from the East to Southeast will prevail over Visayas, Palawan and Occidental Mindoro, which will have slight to moderate seas, the weather bureau said.

In Northern Luzon, Pagasa said partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers caused by localized thunderstorms will be experienced over the Provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya , Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Kalinga and Aurora.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the East to Southeast will prevail over Northern Luzon and in Aurora Province, the weather bureau said.

The coastal waters will be slight to moderate, it added.
