Cloudy skies to prevail in parts of PHL today, June 17

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies are expected in parts of the country today, June 17.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Batanes, Babuyan Group of Islands and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms as the southwest monsoon affects western Luzon.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms, PAGASA said.

The western section of Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
