Cloudy skies to prevail in parts of PHL as southwest monsoon affects Northern, Central Luzon

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms will prevail in parts of the country as the southwest monsoon affects Northern and Central Luzon.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley Region, Central Luzon and Rizal in particular will experience these conditions, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Luzon will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters, while Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
