Cloudy skies, rainshowers expected in parts of PHL today

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies with rainshowers are expected in parts of the country today, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

PAGASA said Metro Manila, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula, Visayas and the provinces of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to a low pressure area off Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental.

PAGASA said Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeast monsoon affecting extreme Northern Luzon.

The rest of the country, PAGASA said, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorm are possible.
