Cloudy skies, rains expected in parts of PHL today

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies and rains are expected in parts of the country today, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services said.

PAGASA said MIMAROPA, CALABARZON and the provinces of Aklan, Antique and Capiz will have  cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to a low pressure area spotted northwest of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains as the northeast monsoon affects extreme Northern Luzon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers, this time, due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.
