Cloudy skies expected in parts of PHL today, Aug. 19

(Eagle News)–Cloudy skies are expected in parts of the country today, Aug. 19, as the southwest monsoon affects the western sections of Northern and Central Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration  said Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands will have cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Flashfloods or landslides during severe thunderstorms are possible.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Extreme northern Luzon  will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters, while the rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters, PAGASA said.
