CIDG-8 chief got drug money from Kerwin Espinosa, bares Senator Pacquiao

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Senator Manny Pacquiao revealed that Supt. Marvin Marcos, chief of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) in eastern Visayas received an amount of Php 1.5 million from alleged drug lord Kerwin Espinosa.

While talking with Senator Pacquiao, the young Espinosa said that Marcos previously asked for P3 million to be used allegedly in the election campaign of his wife.  Kerwin allegedly gave him only half of the amount.

Kerwin said his father personally gave the money to Supt. Marcos himself.

Marcos headed the CIDG team who killed Mayor Espinosa, as they allegedly served the search warrant on the mayor who was then detained at the Leyte Sub-provincial jail in Baybay City.
