(Eagle News)—Chinese President Xi Jinping has arrived in the Philippines.
His plane landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) at 11:30 a.m.
The Chinese President was welcomed by Armed Forces chief General Carlito Galvez, Philippine Ambassador to China Chito Santa Romana, Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III, and Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua.
Xi is expected to participate in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Rizal Park.
He will then proceed to Malacañang, where he will be met by President Rodrigo Duterte.
Xi will be in the country until tomorrow, Wednesday.
