The Commission on Higher Education said it was not against the proposal to reduce the number of school days to four. But according to CHED Chairperson Patricia Licuanan, careful study should be made before the implementation of the 4-day school week. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority proposed the change because of the 15 government projects that will be implemented in Metro Manila which are expected to cause heavy traffic.
