(Eagle News)– President Rodrigo Duterte is also banning Commission on Higher Education (CHED) chairperson Patricia Licuanan from Cabinet meetings starting Monday.
“On Sunday, 04 December 2016, I received a text message from Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr. relaying President Rodrigo Duterte’s instructions to stop attending Cabinet meetings starting this Monday, 05 December, 2PM,” Licuanan said in a statement.
The same content was also received by Vice President Leni Robredo, which prompted her resignation as Housing Secretary.
Licuanan said she will continue her work and remain as CHED chair.
