Cebu grad tops mechanical engineering licensure exam

(Eagle News)–Around 70 percent of those who took the August 2019 Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination passed.

The Professional Regulation Commission said 3,928 out of 5,563 takers passed the exam held in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Lucena  and Tacloban.

Lester Corpin Toledo of the Cebu Institute of Technology got the highest mark, with 94.65 percent.

He was followed by Hutch Niño Valles of the Bulacan State University with 94.05 percent, and by Reginald Luther Orbiso Sinay also of the Cebu Institute of Technology with 93.95 percent.

Fifty-nine out of the  137 takers, on the other hand, passed the Certified Plant Mechanic Licensure Examination.

The top 1 was University of Perpertual Help system Dalta-Las Piñas graduate Elisha Joyce Bacolod Villanueva with 85.55%.

She was followed by Wenzel Iguin Dela Cruz of Technological University of the Philippines-Manila, followed by TUP-Taguig graduate Roberto Raz Ga Jr. and TUP-Visayas graduate Dleen Arnaez Mendoza.

The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the will be announced later the PRC said.
