(Eagle News)–The Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission is investigating two Cabinet secretaries for alleged corruption. Trillanes rejects proposal to amend anti-terror law

(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte has declared September 8 of every year a special working holiday. The declaration was made through Republic Act 11370 signed on August 8. According to the law, the declaration was in observance of the Catholics’ Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. A working holiday means there will be classes and work on that day.
