President Duterte asks for extension in campaign against illegal drugs

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte admitted that he cannot suppress the country’s illegal drug problem within six months. The President asked for another six months to address the problem. Furthermore, the President said that while the government was busy fighting illegal drugs and corruption, incidents of kidnapping and terrorism also came up and had to be separately addressed by the Duterte administration.
