The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the earthquakes in the province on July 27, hit 28 kilometers southeast of Itbayat at 7:55 a.m. The depth of focus was 15 kilometers. An intensity IV was felt in Itabayat. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
