Plane crashes in private resort in Calamba, Laguna

At least two reported injured (Eagle News)–A private plane crashed in Calamba, Laguna on Sunday, Sept. 1. Two people were reportedly  injured after the two-seater plane crashed at Agojo private resort in Purok 6, Miramonte Subdivision, Barangay Pansol around 3 p.m. The crash caused an explosion and a fire, a police report said. Authorities are still probing the incident.

(Eagle News)–Tropical Depression “Kabayan” has exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility. 4.5-magnitude quake strikes off Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Sunday, Sept. 1. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 35 kilometers northeast of Cortes at 7:48 a.m. Depth of focus was 13 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
