(Eagle News) — A member of the Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit was wounded after a mine exploded on Tuesday, Feb. 12, in Maguindanao.

Major Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, commander of the 6th Infantry Division, did not identify the wounded but said the blast took place at 7:30 a.m., in Sitio Pansol, Barangay Macasampen, Guindulungan, where the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters operate.

“The explosion was meant to inflict harm to our troops just [when] they were passing to conduct their regular security in the area,” Sobejana said.
