CAB orders airlines to cancel domestic flights scheduled for June 1; says no IATF approval of proposed air routes yet

(Eagle News)–The Civil Aeronautics Board has ordered airlines to cancel their domestic flights scheduled for June 1.

In an advisory,  CAB executive director Carmelo Arcilla also ordered the airlines to stop their sale of tickets for flights on that date.

He said the Inter-Agency Task Force  for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases has yet to, after all, approve the routes for domestic air services proposed by airlines for the first week of June.

“Trusting in  your prompt attention and action,” Arcilla said.

Earlier, a number of airlines said it was resuming its domestic flight operations in June, following the easing of restrictions in Metro Manila under a general community quarantine.
