‘Butchoy’ grounds 8 flights, diverts 4 others

PASAY City (Eagle News) — The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) said, eight flights were cancelled while four others were diverted Friday morning due to bad weather brought by typhoon “Butchoy”.

The two China Airlines International Flights cancelled were CI 711 (Manila-Kaohsiung) and CI 712 (Kaohsiung-Manila).

Domestic flights cancelled include 2P 2084 (Manila-Basco), 2p 2085 (Basco-Manila), M8 816 (Manila-Basco) and M8 817 (Basco-Manila).

These flights belong to PAL express and Skyjet, respectively.

As of 10:00 a.m., Cebu Pacific cancelled flights DG 6041 (Manila-Busuanga) and DG 6042 (Busuanga-Manila).

There were also four Ninoy Aquino International Airport-bound flights diverted to Clark airport in Pampanga for the same reason.

These are Cebu Pacific flights 5J 586, estimated time of arrival 0600h (Cebu-Manila); 5J 452, ETA 0705h (Iloilo-Manila); 5J 474, ETA 0710h (Bacolod-Manila); and 5J 560, ETA 0720h (Cebu-Manila).
