(Eagle News)—Bong Go, who is poised to win a seat in the Senate, thanked all his supporters and President Rodrigo Duterte and his family for their trust.
In a statement, Go admitted he never expected to win, and attributed his and his fellow Hugpong ng Pagbabago candidates’ impending victory to the Duterte’ administration’s “major accomplishments” and the President’s high rating.
“Dalawampu’t isang taon akong naging isang trabahante. Isang assistant na walang hinangad na kapalit pero nangarap ng mabuting kinabukasan para sa ating mga anak. Hindi ko inakala na ang pagtatrabaho kong ito ay magdadala sa akin sa Senado,” Go said.
He said cooperation and collaboration do not stop with the conclusion of the elections.
In fact, he said on this day, “magsisimula ang mas pinaigting na pagsiserbisyo natin sa sambayanang Pilipino.”
“Hindi matutumbasan ng anumang salita ang pasasalamat ko sa inyong tiwala,” Go said.
Go has consistently landed in third place, well within the winning 12 circle, based on unofficial and partial results of the Senate poll.
Cynthia Villar is so far in the number 1 spot, followed by fellow reelectionist Grace Poe.
