BI official involved in Jack Lam bribery scam, now outside the country, says De Lima

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Citing information she got from sources, Senator Leila De Lima said that one of the two former officials of the Bureau of Immigration who allegedly accepted bribe from casino tycoon Jack Lam was able to leave the country, together with his family.

De Lima said that she just forgot who between the two former BI officials was identified by her source.

The two officials involved in the bribery scandal were Deputy Commissioners Al Argosino and Michael Robles who allegedly accepted Php 50 million from Lam in exchange for allowing more than 100 illegal Chinese workers working in Lam’s casino to go free.
