BI nabs 21 Chinese nationals illegally working in two Pasay malls

(Eagle News)–The Bureau of Immigration has arrested 21 Chinese nationals it said were illegally trading in two shopping malls in Pasay.

In a statement, BI acting intelligence unit chief Fortunato Manahan Jr. said of the 21, 12 were arrested at One Shopping Center while the rest were nabbed from Two Shopping Center.

BI commissioner Jaime Morente said the foreigners were “working in the country without the necessary permits.”

“These illegal aliens are brazenly working out in the open, violating immigration laws and steal jobs from Filipinos,” Morente said.

“We will not stop hunting them down and sending them out,” he added.

The foreigners are currently detained at the BI detention facility in Camp Bagong Diwa  in Taguig.
