Benjamin Magalong to return as Baguio mayor

(Eagle News) — Benjamin Magalong will return as Baguio City’s chief executive after he was proclaimed the winner of the mayoralty race by the Commission on Elections.

Reelectionists Faustino Olowan and Mark Go also retained their vice mayoral and congressional posts, respectively.

In a statement, Magalong, a former chief of the Philippine National Police’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, thanked his supporters for their trust.

“I am inspired to serve you even better and set a higher standard for what you deserve from your public servants,” he said.

Magalong first assumed Baguio City’s mayoral post in 2019.
