Batangas to have cloudy skies, isolated rains today due to Taal volcanic activity, northeast monsoon

(Eagle News)–Batangas will have cloudy skies with isolated rains today due to the volcanic activity in Taal and the northwest monsoon affecting Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Catanduanes, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate and Samar provinces will, on the other hand, have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the tail end of a cold front.

PAGASA said Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Aurora, Quezon and the rest of Bicol Region will have cloudy skies with light rains while Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, both due to the northeast monsoon.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers because of localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA is also monitoring a low pressure area 410 km east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.
