Año recommends Cascolan, Eleazar, Gamboa to Duterte for PNP chief post

(Eagle News)–Interior Secretary Eduardo Año has recommended three police officials to the post of Philippine National Police chief to President Rodrigo Duterte.

Año has recommended Police Lieutenant General Camilo Pancratius Cascolan, Police Major General Guillermo Eleazar and Police Lieutenant General Archie Francisco Gamboa to the post vacated by Oscar Albayalde following allegations he intervened in the cases filed against 13 of his men who were behind an irregular drug raid in Pampanga in 2013.

Eleazar is the chief of the PNP directorial staff,while Cascolan presently is as the PNP deputy chief for operations.

Gamboa  was designated officer-in-charge of the PNP following Albayalde’s resignation.

Albayalde was supposed to retire on Nov. 8 but he chose to resign over the ninja cops controversy.
