Año designates Iral as BJMP officer-in-charge

(Eagle News)–The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology has a new officer-in-charge.

Interior Secretary Eduardo Año named jail deputy chief for administration Chief Supt. Allan Iral to the post following the retirement of jail director Deogracias Tapayan.

According to a BJMP statement, during his stint as warden of the Davao City Jail, the jail was recognized the City Jail of the Year.

The BJMP’s Region XI and VII were also recognized as Regional Offices of the Year during his stint as regional director.

“An accomplished officer, he is a recipient of Lakan Distinguished Award, the highest award for PNPA Alumni, Senior Officer of the Year and Junior Officer of the Year, the most coveted national award in the BJMP among staff officers..,” the BJMP said.
