Andanar: PIA chief under probe for corruption

(Eagle News)–The Presidential Communications Operations Office is investigating the Philippine Information Agency director general over allegations of corruption.

Harold Clavite is reportedly being probed for splitting contracts and for misusing funds for hotel accommodations, among others.

“Given the gravity of the corruption allegations and guided by the ‘whiff of corruption principle’ of the Duterte administration, our legal office is one with the President to stomp out corruption from the bureaucracy as long as there is proof,” Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said.

Clavite has slammed the allegations as  “baseless and unsubstantiated.”
