(Eagle News) — An alleged Maute bomb expert was killed in an inter-agency operation in General Santos on Monday, July 16.
Najib Calimba Pundog alias Najib Hussein, was killed after he resisted and fought authorities who were serving a warrant for his arrest for murder, serious illegal detention and kidnapping, Eastern Mindanao Command spokesperson Major Ezra Balagtey said.
Balagtey said the operation, which saw PO3 Jerry Feo injured, took place at 2:15 a.m. in Barangay Fatima.
A hand grenade and a pistol were recovered from Pundog.
