(Eagle News)– Suspected drug lord Melvin Odicta and his wife Miriam died on early Monday morning after being shot by an unknown suspect in Caticlan.
Based on a report submitted by Aklan police, the couple was shot a few minutes after they arrived at Caticlan Jetty Port around 1:30 a.m.
The couple was rushed to Malay Municipal Hospital, but pronounced dead on arrival.
The Odictas met with the Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Ismael “Mike” Sueno last Thursday due to fear for their lives.
Melvin was rumored to be the alias ‘Dragon’, a drug lord in Iloilo province.
The Philippine National Police is already investigating the killing and identifying the suspect.
