Alejano: Trillanes and I are ready to face a Senate probe into Advincula’s allegations

(Eagle News)–Outgoing Magdalo Rep. Gary Alejano on Friday, May 24, said he and Senator Antonio Trillanes IV were ready to face any Senate probe following the allegations against them by Peter Joemel Advincula.

Alejano made the remark in an interview over ANC.

“We will face the situation,” he said.

Earlier, Senator Panfilo Lacson said he would initiate an inquiry into Advincula’s allegations provided the latter provide “solid, substantial” proof of the same.

In a press conference on Thursday, May 23, Advincula said the Liberal Party, Trillanes and other opposition figures were behind the “Ang Totoong Narco-list” videos against President Rodrigo Duterte, his family and his allies that were aimed at ousting the chief executive and discrediting his longtime aide Bong Go.

Go was at that time running for a Senate seat.

Advincula said under Project Sodoma, with Duterte out, Vice President Leni Robredo would become president by operation of the Constitution, while Trillanes would be installed as the vice president.

Alejano ran for a Senate seat in the May 13 polls but lost.
