(Eagle News)–Philippine National Police Chief Oscar Albayalde on Monday, Aug. 5, conferred an award on the Manila policeman who was caught on camera bravely chasing a man who had reportedly stolen a gold bracelet from a jeepney passenger.

Albayalde conferred the “Medalya ng Papuri” to Patrolman Jonathan Stanley Dionisio, three days after he arrested the suspect.

The suspect was later released, however, after the victim failed to identify him as the thief.

Apart from Dionisio, his team leader, Police Corporal Timothy John Cruz, was also conferred an award for reportedly helping Dionisio in the arrest.
