Alab Pilipinas posts third straight victory; edges Singapore in OT

(Eagle News)– Alab Pilipinas posted its third straight win after downing the Singapore Slayers in a nail-biting match on Saturday night.

AJ Mandani forced extra time after making his three-point shot with 12.2 seconds left in the game.

The teams were at that time tied at 78.

The Philippine team finally pulled away from the pesky Singaporeans in overtime, leaving their rivals scoreless for a good half of the period.

Renaldo Balkman led the Philippine charge with 26 points, eight rebounds, two assists, four assists and two blocks.

Chris Charles carried much of the burden of the Singaporeans, withf22 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks, and three assists.

The final score: 89-80.
