(Eagle News) — President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday, Nov. 27, said he would fire another undersecretary.
The President did not identify who this was, only saying that the official who was next on the chopping block was “malikot.”
Duterte made the announcement right after announcing he had dismissed Undersecretary Ronald Flores and Assistant Secretary Yeshtern Donn Baccay from the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process during the inauguration of the Bohol-Panglao International Airport.
Prior to this, Duterte had said he would fire another undersecretary for corruption, after firing Undersecretary Falconi Millar, secretary-general of the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council also for corruption.
Millar has denied the allegations against him, saying they were merely part of a demolition job against him.
