Advincula posts bail for other six counts of estafa; PNP says he may avail of temporary liberty as soon as doctor clears him

(Eagle News)–Peter Joemel Advincula has posted bail for the other six counts of estafa he faces, the Philippine National Police said.

According to PNP Chief Oscar Albayalde, this means Advincula, who was admitted anew to the Philippine General Hospital after he complained of dizziness on Friday afternoon, can leave the medical institution to avail of his temporary liberty as soon as the doctor clears him.

Earlier, Albayalde said Advincula posted an P18,000 bail for a separate estafa case, but he could not leave yet since he had yet to post bail for another six counts of estafa in a Baguio court.

Advincula surrendered to the police on Wednesday afternoon after a court issued warrants of arrest against him.

In his press conference on Thursday, Advincula said the Liberal Party, Antonio Trillanes IV and other opposition figures were behind the “Ang Totoong Narco-list” videos which featured him as “Bikoy” and implicated President Rodrigo Duterte, his family and allies in the illegal drug trade.

According to Advincula, the aim was to oust Duterte and to discredit his longtime aide Bong Go, who was running for a Senate seat at that time.

Under Project Sodoma, he said Vice  President Leni Robredo would replace Duterte, based on the Constitution, and Trillanes, whose term as senator ends in June, would be installed as vice president.
