ACTO will not join Feb 6 “transport holiday”

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — The group Alliance of Concerned Transport Organizations or ACTO will not join the planned nationwide “transport holiday” to be held on Monday, February 6 by other transport groups. The strike was organized to protest the plan of the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to phase-out passenger jeeps and replace them with electric jeeps.

ACTO Chairman Efren De Luna said that the group decided to not join the “transport holiday” for the sake of the commuters.
