Northeast monsoon affects Northern, Central Luzon

Eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao affected by easterlies

(Eagle News) — The northeast monsoon is affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the easterlies are also affecting the eastern sections of Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.

As a result, PAGASA said Quezon, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Northern Mindanao, Caraga, Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Flashfloods or landslides are possible.

Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region and Aurora will have cloudy skies with light rains while the Ilocos Region and rest of Central Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

According to PAGASA, Luzon and the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.

The rest of Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
