(Eagle News)–Ten more Filipinos on board the Diamond Princess have tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
Health Assistant Secretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said this brings the number of Filipinos infected on the cruise ship to 59.
Of this number, two have recovered and five are expected to be discharged.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin Jr. said the repatriation of Filipinos on board would take place on Tuesday.
This was two days after the initial schedule for the repatriation, Vergeire said had been delayed because the testing of Filipinos to be repatriated had yet to be completed.
