Strong winds forecast in parts of PHL as northeast monsoon affects Northern, Central Luzon

(Eagle News)–Winds are expected in parts of the country today as the northeast monsoon affects Northern and Central Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said strong winds are expected in Northern Luzon.

Rough coastal waters are also expected.

Visayas, Mindanao and the rest of Luzon, on the other hand, will have moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough coastal waters.

As of 3 a.m., Typhoon “Kammuri” remains outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, packing maximum sustained winds of 130 kph and gustiness of 160 kph.

It is moving westward at 25 kph.
