Tropical Storm “Ramon” still almost stationary

(Eagle News)–Tropical Storm “Ramon” remains almost stationary over the Philippine Sea, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

PAGASA said “Ramon” was last spotted  420 kilometers north northeast of Virac packing maximum sustained winds of up to 65 kilometers per hour near the center  and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

Signal No. 1 remains hoisted over the eastern portion of Cagayan (Santa Ana, Gonzaga, Lal-lo, Gattaran, Baggao, and Peñablanca), eastern portion of Isabela (Maconacon, Divilacan, Palanan, and Dinapigue), and Northern Aurora (Dilasag, Casiguran, and Dinalungan).

Today, light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains may be experienced over the eastern portions of Cagayan, Isabela and Bicol Region, northern Samar and Romblon.

PAGASA said  gusty conditions associated with the Northeast Monsoon may still be experienced today over Northern Luzon, Aurora, and Bicol Region, especially in coastal and mountainous areas.

Sea travel is risky, especially for small sea craft, over the seaboards of areas under the storm signal, the seaboards of Northern Luzon, and the eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon due to prevailing or forecast rough sea conditions.
