(Eagle News)–The Department of Justice will issue an immigration lookout bulletin order against the woman who allegedly buys recycled drugs from “ninja cops.”
Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra said the ILBO against Guia Gomez Castro, who is reportedly now in the United States, is “so we can monitor her whereabouts abroad.”
Justice Undersecretary and spokesperson Markk Perete said the DOJ can issue such “for the purpose of monitoring entry and departures through our immigration counters.”
“It is not used to impair its subject’s right to travel, except when a court-issued PHDO/HDO (precautionary hold departure order/hold departure order) exists,” he said.
He said the government can request that her movements be monitored “through Interpol channels.”
Perete also confirmed Castro has a pending criminal case in the courts.
He, however, did not say what case this was.
The Philippine National Police has said a case buildup was ongoing against Castro.
Earlier, National Capital Region Police Office chief Guillermo Eleazar said 16 policemen who are no longer in active service collude with Castro in the so-called “agaw-bato” scheme.
