(Eagle News)–Over 1000 persons deprived of liberty who were released under the Good Conduct Time Allowance law have surrendered to authorities, the Department of Justice said.
Justice Undersecretary Markk Perete said the 1025 PDLs were as of 2:27 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 18.
The figure does not include the two convicts in the rape-slay of the Chiong sisters in Cebu in the 1990s who recently surrendered to authorities.
James Anthony Uy and Josman Aznar surrendered past 6 p.m., on the same day.
