Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over N. Luzon

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over Northern Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rains are being experienced over Pangasinan, particularly in Bolinao, Anda, Bani, Alaminos City, Sual, Labrador, Mabini, Dasol, Burgos, Agno, Infanta, Bugallon, Aguilar, San Carlos, Lingayen, Binmaley, Calasiao Dagupan, San Carlos, Urbiztondo, Mangaldan, San Mapandan, San Jacinto and San Fabian; in Apayao, particularly Conner and Kabugan; Kalinga; Mt. Province; Ifugao in Tinoc, Banaue, Hungduan, Mayoyao, Lagawe, Hingyon, Aguinaldo, Alfonso Lista; and in Isabela, particularly in Echague, Aurora, San Mateo, Roxas, Quezon, San Isidro, Angadanan, Ilagan, Delfin Albano and Mallig.

PAGASA said the condition may persist 2-3 hours and may effect nearby areas.

Meanwhile, light to moderate rains are so far being  experienced over  Kalinga, particularly in Pinukpuk; Isabela, particularly in Santiago, Cordon, Jones and San Agustin; Nueva Viscaya, in Kayapa, Diadi, Ambaguio, Villaverde, Solano, Bagabag, Quezon, Bambang and Bayombong; and in Quirino, in Diffun, Saguday, Cabarroguis and Aglipay.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards. Residents along mountain slopes are advised for possible landslides,mudslides, rock slides and flash floods,” PAGASA said.
