Thunderstorm advisory hoisted over N. Luzon

(Eagle News)–A thunderstorm advisory has been hoisted over Northern Luzon.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said moderate to heavy rainshowers with lightning and strong winds are being experienced over portions of Mt. Province, particularly in Ifugao, Paracelis, Asipulo, Lamut, Lagawe, Banaue, Hingyo, Aguinaldo; in Nueva Viscaya, particularly in Kasibu, Bayombong, Bambang, Ambaguio, Kayapa, Alfonso Castaneda and Dupax del Norte; in Quirino, specifically in Cabarroguis, Maddela, Nagtipunan; and in Pangasinan, specifically in Bolinao, Anda, Burgos, Agno, Dasol, Mabini, Alaminos, Sual, Labrador, Dagupan, Mangaldan, Binmaley, Bugallon, Aguilar, Urbiztondo, Mangatarem, Lingayen and Mabini.

PAGASA said the conditions may persist one to two hours and may affect nearby areas.

“All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards,” PAGASA said.

It also advised residents of mountain slopes of possible landslides, mudslides, rock slides and flash floods.
