Students exempted from paying airport terminal fee starting Thursday, Aug. 1

(Eagle News)–The airport terminal fee for students will be waived starting Thursday, Aug. 1.

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines said in a memorandum issued to all airport managers that exempted from paying the fee were pre-school to college students, including those in trade, arts, technical vocational schools and training centers.

The memo said those enrolled in driving and dancing schools, schools of culinary arts and in “seminar-type” courses, masteral and doctoral, and law and medicine students are not covered by the exemption.

To avail of the exemption, qualified students, CAAP said, should fill out an  application form and submit this together with a photocopy of a valid school ID and /or school registration/ enrolment form to Malasakit Help Desks in the airports.

“For immediate compliance and implementation,” Captain Jim Sydiongco, CAAP director-general, said.
