Advincula posts bail in cyber libel case; is released from detention

(Eagle News)–Peter Joemel Advincula, who claims to be the yellow-hooded figure “Bikoy” in the Ang Totoong Narco-list videos against President Rodrigo Duterte’s family, has been released from detention.

This was after Advincula  posted a P10,000 bail for cyberlibel before Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 220.

Advincula had surrendered to the police on Monday after a warrant of arrest for the charge was issued against him.

He had since been detained at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Camp Crame.

It was unclear who filed the charges against Advincula, who has also been named a respondent in the sedition charges also filed against Vice President Leni Robredo, Leila de Lima, and others, over the videos where Bikoy accused Duterte’s family of being engaged in the illegal drug trade.

It was, however, also Advincula’s affidavit that was used as basis for the filing of the sediiton charges.

In a press conference prior to the filing, Advincula said he was merely forced to peddle the lies in the videos by members of the opposition under Project Sodoma.
