(Eagle News)–President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, July 22, urged the creation of several departments and bodies he said were necessary to address specific needs of Filipinos.

In his State of the Nation Address, Duterte urged the creation of a Department for Overseas Filipino Workers, a Department of Water Resources, including a Fire Protection Program, a National Academy for Sports, and a Department of Disaster Resilience.

For this last one, Duterte emphasized  the Big One, which experts have said would hit the Philippines some time in the future.

The President even joked he consulted a psychic who said the Big One would hit the center of the Batasang Pambansa.

“I pray it comes now. Kumpleto na tayo dito,” he says, prompting laughs from the audience.
